I AM BASED IN BROOKLYN, NY
I earned a degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah before briefly studying photography at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. My work incorporates elements of portraiture, fine art, and documentary photography. Commercially, I have photographed a wide variety of people and places, from children with social disorders in Idaho to millionaires on 5th Ave.
My recent work explores people and subject matter, such as gender, identity, sexuality and race, that lie outside the mainstream. I’m also fascinated by the convergence of reality and fantasy, shaped by mass media and pop culture, in people’s everyday lives. Generally, I’m interested in the perplexing and wondrous state of humanity in modern society.
